Yemeni Coffee Shop Files Permit to Open in Lewis Center

The coffee shop will be located in a shopping plaza with tenants that include a Chinese restaurant as well as a sports bar.

A new coffee shop could be coming to Lewis Center, according to a recent permit filing with the city of Columbus. As detailed in the permit, Yemeni Coffee Shop appears to be on its way to 8909 S Old State Rd. The permit is for alterations to an existing structure and the work is projected to cost $90,000.

The coffee shop will be located in a shopping plaza with tenants that include Hunan J and O’Nelly’s Sports Pub & Grill. According to Google Maps, the current tenant at 8909 S Old State Rd is listed as Aficionado’s.  

Further details such as what will be on the menu, the square footage of the space, seating capacity and an anticipated opening timeline aren’t available at this time. What Now Columbus reached out for comment about the forthcoming establishment, but a representative with the coffee shop declined to share further details about the business at this stage of the permitting process.
