Healthy and flavorful food is coming to Terminal South this summer.

STAXX is the latest concept to be announced for the development’s food hall called Switchman Hall. The fast-casual restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with counter service at the food hall and a walk-up window accessible from the development’s patio.

STAXX is founded by local entrepreneur Olga Alvarez, a local entrepreneur, longtime Atlanta resident and real estate agent.

With many family members attending Carver High School, located just south of the upcoming Terminal South development, Alvarez plans to give back to the community by partnering with Carver to provide jobs and training opportunities for students, according to an announcement.

“I created STAXX to be a place where delicious, nourishing food brings people together and energizes the community,” Alvarez said in a statement. “I’ve always loved making unique sandwiches and meals that bring people together, and I’m thrilled to open our first location at Terminal South. This area holds so much personal meaning for me, and I can’t wait to serve the community that helped shape who I am.”

The STAXX menu will feature build-your-own breakfast bowls, sweet and savory sourdough toasts, paninis, and a variety of açaí bowls.

Some standout items:

  • Breakfast sandwiches like the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on fresh sourdough, a bagel, or a flaky croissant, with choice of cheese including cheddar, provolone, gouda or pepper jack.
  • Sourdough toasts like the ATL Heat with avocado, egg, chili spice, feta, bacon and honey drizzle, or the Banana Delight with peanut butter, banana, honey and chia seeds.
  • Açaí bowls include the build-your-own option and signature creations like the Ultimate Power Bowl featuring banana, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, granola, cookie butter and honey.
  • Pressed-to-order sourdough paninis like the Veggie Delight with roasted red pepper hummus, onions, tomatoes, spinach, and feta; the Butcher’s Best with turkey, ham, bacon, spicy aioli, onion and provolone; and the Turkey Pesto with turkey, pesto spread, provolone, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and red onion.

“We are so happy to welcome STAXX to Switchman Hall,” said Melissa Ahrendt, Stafford Properties’ executive director of real estate and developer of Terminal South. “Olga’s passion for food and community aligns perfectly with what we’re building here – a place where people can gather over incredible meals in a welcoming and dynamic environment. STAXX will be a fantastic addition to Terminal South.”

Terminal South features the adaptive reuse of two former warehouse structures, bringing approximately 45,625 square feet of mixed-use space to the site south of Downtown Atlanta. It is expected to feature several food options and retail concepts, including an independent bookstore, a pizzeria specializing in gluten-free options, and more.
