“Amal is where the Lebanese spirit of joie de vivre comes to life,” says the website of Amal, the Lebanese restaurant brand from Ink Entertainment Group that has locations in Toronto and in Coconut Grove. “A place where cuisine, sharing, and simply living unite. It’s a voyage through time and place that embraces the pursuit of pleasure. Amal aims to feed and provoke the soul, above all, nourishing it with hope. After all, that’s what Amal means – HOPE.”

And there’s now even more for the South Florida food and drink scene to hope for: Ink Entertainment Group is bringing Amal to Fort Lauderdale with the opening of Amal Las Olas.

Amal Las Olas will open at 500 E Las Olas Blvd. What Now reached out to representatives of Ink Entertainment Group in hopes of nailing down an opening timeline. “It’s probably going to be Q4 of this year,” VP of Operations Seko Sener told What now on Wednesday. For the moment, that’s all that’s known.

The dinner menu at the Coconut Grove location features constant favorites like Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, and Garlic Labneh, along with Hot Mezze dishes like Seared Halloumi or Octopus with turmeric potato, pepper relish, capers, and charred onions. Entrees include Lamb Chops with fingerling potatoes, Swiss chard, and red pepper relish; Grilled Tiger Shrimps in a spiced tomato emulsion with cilantro and micro sorrel; and Sesame Crusted Fried Snapper with tahini, parsley oil, fried pita, and lemon.

No menu has been released yet for Amal Las Olas.
