A brand new soup and noodle-focused eatery, Soupreme Noodle Co., is getting ready to make its debut in Whittier at 13817 Whittier Boulevard.

The new restaurant is set to move into the former homes of Chronic Sushi and Off the Hook Fish Grill, down the street from the Quad at Whittier shopping center, according to a recent liquor license application. This is the latest from Akina Dining Group LLC, which is owned by Stephanie and Daniel Oah. It’s unclear exactly when Soupreme Noodle Co. will open or what will be on the menu, but the new restaurant will share a building with Starbucks, The Stand, and AT&T.

Daniel Oah currently serves as Director of Operations at TJSK Group Inc. in Glendale, a role he has held since February 2023, according to his LinkedIn. Before this, he was Operations Manager at YK Hollywood Dining Inc., overseeing multiple restaurant brands including Silverlake Ramen, OJI Sushi & Sake Bar, and California Boba. His background includes nearly two years as Finance Manager at Lexus of Glendale, and earlier leadership roles as General Manager at ENJ Dining Group and Octopus Restaurant Group. Now he will branch out with his own restaurant, which is expected to open later this year.

This will be an excellent location for a new restaurant, especially because it will sit near The Quad at Whittier. The area is also surrounded by popular stores like Burlington, Ralphs, Ross, TJ Maxx, and Petco, along with well-known restaurants like Olive Garden and Chili’s. These businesses will bring steady foot traffic to Soupreme Noodle Co. New housing developments nearby are also adding more potential diners to the neighborhood. Existing restaurant infrastructure makes it a move-in-ready opportunity in a thriving commercial area.
