Ramen Tatsu-ya, the Texas-based ramen shop that helped redefine the state’s noodle scene, is expanding its Houston presence with a new outpost coming to the west side. The upcoming location is set for 600 W Sam Houston Pkwy N #605, continuing the brand’s steady growth and cult following across the state.
Led by chefs and co-founders Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto, Ramen Tatsu-ya is known for its rich, slow-simmered tonkotsu broth, bold flavor profiles, and energetic atmosphere that draws diners in for a taste of Japan with a Texas twist. Since opening its first location in Austin, the concept has garnered loyal fans with its crave-worthy bowls and bold atmosphere.
The forthcoming location is expected to carry the same creative spirit and attention to detail that has made Ramen Tatsu-ya a standout in a crowded culinary landscape. While no representative for the brand was available as of this publishing, diners can likely expect the brand’s signature aesthetic—blending street art with ramen bar tradition—to play a key role.
According to CultureMap Houston, the new location is scheduled to open in Winter 2025.
