A local restaurateur is on a roll—and he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Koushik “Babu” Koganti of Flying Lion Hospitality Group debuted his latest venture, Bombay Baking Company, in Woburn at the end of April 2025. Now, he’s already cooking up a second location. According to the Milford Daily News, the bakery is expanding to 495 Worcester Rd (Route 9) in Framingham, taking over the former Street Kitchen Express space.

The new menu will mirror the original, offering a tempting lineup of Indian baked goods, including savory pastry puffs, pav rolls, and bun maska. Freshly baked at the central Woburn bakery, these treats will be transported to Framingham daily. Guests can also expect plenty of Indian street food favorites, such as kati rolls, samosas, pizza, and chaat.

Flying Lion is behind a number of popular concepts, from the Madras Dosa Company and Boston Halal chains to inventive eateries like the Don’t Tell Aunty gastropub and an upcoming Indian-Mediterranean fusion spot.

Koganti told What Now Boston he hopes to open the new Bombay Baking Company in about a month—and for now, he’s focusing on perfecting his two latest ventures before plotting his next move.
