A culinary legacy will come to an end with the closure of One Market restaurant in San Francisco! Last weekend, One Market announced that June 11, 2025, will be the day when the restaurant will shut its doors forever.
The owners cited the decision as inevitable, as they tried to sell the restaurant to the current management team, but that did not work. After the pandemic, the restaurant has been struggling, and slowly, financial reasons started mounting. One of the co-owners and managing partners, Michael Dellar, is also planning to retire soon. All these reasons led to the door of permanent closure, leaving everyone with a bittersweet feeling.
Such a long and strong presence of One Market cannot be summed up by a “Thank You” as per the owners. They are grateful to each staff member and the customers for contributing to a beautiful journey of 32 years.

One Market restaurant was established in 1993 in One Market Plaza at the Embarcadero end. Chef Bradley Ogden and managing partner Michael Dellar created this American restaurant. In the 32-year-long journey, One Market became an award-winning and one of the finest restaurants in San Francisco.
Another partner, Chef Mark Dommen, has served amazing cuisine for more than the last 20 years at the restaurant. His culinary expertise brought a Michelin Star to One Market from 2008 to 2012. Wine list at One Market is another attraction. Sommelier and Wine Director Tonya Pitts curated a special wine list for the restaurant.
From small family dinners and private parties to meeting and hosting special events, One Market has been a hotspot for San Francisco people for a long time.
