A global yogurt drink sensation is coming to Boston.
Signage spotted at 147 Brighton Ave in Allston (via the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group) reveals that Hey! I am Yogost—a popular Chinese yogurt beverage chain—is preparing to open a takeout-only shop in the neighborhood.
The company is known for its playful branding and fruity, prebiotic drinks made with ingredients like purple rice and fresh fruit, with a yogurt-centric menu spanning fruit slushes, teas, and yogurt desserts—all customizable and high in protein.
Founded in 2017, Hey! I am Yogost has quickly grown to more than 70 locations across China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Canada, Malaysia, and the United States, where existing shops can be found in Washington, Philadelphia, and California.
“Our brand is committed to delivering delightful, healthy, and customizable high-protein yogurt creations that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary preferences,” reads the eatery’s website.
Sibin Chen, one of the franchisees behind the upcoming location, told What Now Boston that an opening date has not yet been set for the Allston shop. A licensing board hearing page notes that the 500-square-foot space will operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
