According to the San Francisco Business Times, the toffee concept Cheeky Bits Sweets is coming to the Embarcadero Center, where it will take over a space formerly home to See’s Candies.

The owner of Cheeky Bits Sweets, Nina Veaco, tells What Now San Francisco a little about how the business began: “I have been in business for about five years; I started during the pandemic… I’ve been making this toffee pretty much my entire life. My mom taught me how to make it, and we made it every year for the holidays.”

“I started wholesale about a year and a half ago, I sell to little markets and niche stores, and then a lot of direct-to-consumer… I was approached by BXB in February, since they lost so many tenants during COVID, they’ve been approaching new businesses. I moved in in May.”

In addition to her toffee made with Guittard chocolate, visitors will also be able to buy cookbooks dedicated to confections and baking products, as well as products from other local businesses, such as Little Apple Treats and Brigadeiro Sprinkles.

Veaco adds, “I am one of the community partner sponsors at Stern Grove Festival… if you purchase a ticket to any of the concerts, you’ll receive some Cheeky Bits Sweets.”

Cheeky Bits Sweets is slated to open on July 7. Stay tuned for updates.
