A coffee shop that serves only nitro-based hot and cold coffee drinks is heading to downtown Winston-Salem. Owners Matthew Allivato James, Karla James and Zachary Via will bring Okay Coffee to 505 N. Cherry St. Wandering Sun Mead Hall had a brief stint at the location but closed earlier this year.

Okay Coffee announced the forthcoming brick-and-mortar in mid-April, sharing that they intend to open sometime this summer. The coffee shop will find differentiation in focusing their menu solely around nitro-based drinks rather than traditional coffee offerings.

As they progress toward the opening of their brick-and-mortar location, the Okay Coffee team has been serving their beverages at Cobblestone Farmers Market along Marshall Street in Winston-Salem every Saturday.

The coffee shop recently unveiled a new logo for their business showcasing the “okay” concept that inspired the name.

“We are happy, we are sad, we are somewhere in between and feeling like falling,” the team posted alongside the new logo on Instagram.

As of now, further details about the menu and design remain unknown. What Now Charlotte got in touch with the ownership team but could not obtain further details prior to the time of publication.
