According to a recently submitted permit application, Freddy’s Frozen Custard in New Braunfels will soon undergo an “interior and exterior refresh.”
Located at 841 TX-337 Loop, the eatery is neighbored by establishments such as O’Reilly Auto Parts, Sonic Drive-In, and Tractor Supply Co.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the franchisee, Joe DePinto Jr. of Five Point Growth Partners, to inquire about the upcoming renovations, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing states that updates to the 3,490-square-foot spot are scheduled to begin on August 4 and be completed on August 22. For an estimated $300,000, the Kansas-based firm Tessere will manage the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, Freddy’s briefly introduces itself on its website: “Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler… [and] has become one of the fastest growing franchises in the U.S.,” the statement continues—boasting that the company presently operates more than 400 locations.
On the menu are items such as the BBQ Brisket Steakburger, the Freddy’s Original Patty Melt, and the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich, alongside a variety of milkshake options, hot dogs, and sides including fries and onion rings.
