Kirk’s Steakburgers, a Silicon Valley staple known for its char-grilled patties, is planning to open a new location in Santa Clara this year.

According to a recently submitted permit application, the eatery is taking over a space at 2565 The Alameda, near establishments such as Round Table Pizza, Safeway, and Taco Bell.

For readers unfamiliar with Kirk’s, the concept has been around since the 1940s and developed all of its menu options from “closely kept family recipes,” according to the eatery’s website

In addition to burgers, its menu features deli and chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls, and sides, including onion rings and loaded fries.

“From the moment we light our open charcoal fires in the morning to the moment we lock up at night, we’re focused on freshness, service, selection, and convenience,” the business website shares.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Melissa Carrubba, to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet. Follow Kirk’s Steakburgers on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
