According to the San Antonio Business Journal, Shotgun House Coffee Roasters — a business recently acquired by “a local group of friends that includes former mayoral candidate Beto Altamirano, his business partner Eduardo Bravo, [and] family members” — is looking forward to expansion.

“We went there all the time. Beto, Eduardo and myself are big coffee aficionados. We love coffee and it was one of the only spots available right near our office. It was only two blocks away, and so we spent countless hours there growing the company, working out of there, having coffee, and we just fell in love with the place and what it represented for the community,” Altamirano tells the Journal.

In another statement, he elaborates on his plans for the concept, “In a business sense, we want to expand our roasting capabilities and tell the story of this coffee shop of the West Side.” He continues, “Not at a local or regional level, but at a national level where we can promote and celebrate Shotgun and what it represents.”

Shotgun House Coffee Roasters opened in 2018 in Warehouse 5 on San Antonio’s West Side. “Equipped with a San Fransiscan SF-25, we proudly roast and package specialty coffee on-site and offer a full lineup of espresso drinks, breakfast tacos, and pastries made in-house,” the business shares on its website.

Specifics, such as addresses and opening dates, have not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
