According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Ballast Point Brewing Co. will soon begin production in San Jose.

Coming to 357 E Taylor Street, an address currently home to Gordon Biersch Brewing Company, the concept will be neighbored by establishments such as Maza Restaurant Bar, Rollo’s Donuts, and Pepper Tales.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Brendan Watters, Chief Executive Officer at Kings & Convicts Brewing Co. — a company that acquired Ballast Point Brewing Company in 2019 — but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “What started in 1996 as a small group of homebrewers who simply wanted to make great beer evolved into the team of adventurers known today as Ballast Point.”

The first location was opened at San Diego’s Home Brew Mart, and the concept has since expanded to Anaheim, Long Beach, and San Francisco.

Alongside a wide selection of craft brews, Ballast Point Brewing Company offers “a full menu of locally-inspired cuisine.”

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
