According to a recently submitted permit application, Griff’s Hamburgers — located at 2418 Pleasanton Road, near establishments such as Nico’s Mexican Restaurant, Rolando’s Super Taco, and The Original Rocky’s Taco House — plans to undergo renovations this fall.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the location’s franchisee, Ronnie Lewis, to inquire about the update, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing states that renovations to the 2,100-square-foot spot are scheduled to begin on September 1 and finish on October 15 and will cost an estimated $600,000 to complete.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Griff’s Burger Bar first opened in March of 1960 in Wichita, Kansas, and became known for its hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sodas, fries, and shakes. The eatery now operates 11 locations across California and Texas.

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
