Los Angeles-based burger favorite For the Win is in growth mode, with several new locations expected to open across the city throughout the second half of the year.

The popular burger concept is set to officially open its newest outpost later this month in Highland Park, at 5801 N. Figueroa Street, replacing Tam’s Junior Burger No. 2. The new location closely follows the soft opening of its San Diego location at 1037 Garnet Avenue, which previously occupied the space of Lucha Libre Taco Shop. Owner Santos Uy tells What Now Media Group that the San Diego location is expected to open soon, as the health department has approved the team’s operation.

This is just the beginning for the beloved burger concept, which already has ten locations throughout Southern California, mainly Los Angeles County. Aiming to grow its presence within its hometown, the company is working on a handful of Additional locations that are in the works, including Westwood at 1947 Westwood Boulevard, Cypress Park at 1217 N Cypress Avenue, and Brentwood at 147 S Barrington Avenue, with all expected to debut before the end of 2025.

Known for its focused menu and nostalgic approach to American fast food, For the Win serves smash-style burgers on Martin’s potato rolls, shoestring-cut fries, sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, and hand-spun shakes. Standouts include the double cheeseburger with bacon and Jalapenos, and the delicious loaded fries that come with For The Win fry sauce, grilled onion, and cheese on top. Everything is made to order, emphasizing freshness and consistency across all locations.

Asked about the company’s rapid growth, Uy tells What Now Los Angeles, “We are basically reinvesting everything into openings. Lots of landlords and brokers have been contacting us with great deals, so we’ve been able to choose ones that fit our schedule and budget. We’ve also been able to run our operations very efficiently while keeping our hospitality and quality as high as possible.”

A Las Vegas location is also in the works, set inside a casino just off the Strip. For updates on opening dates and future announcements, follow the brand on Instagram at @forthewinLA.
