Mumu Hot Pot, a personalized dining experience with individual hot pot sets, is getting ready to open a new location in Torrance at 3525 W Carson Street, Suite 170.

The company’s seventh location will be the first in Southern California, according to a recent liquor license application. It’s unclear when Mumu Hot Pot will open, but it will be moving into the former space of Vegas Buffett in the Del Amo Fashion Center.

When this new location opens, customers will be able to choose from a variety of broths, including Sichuan Spicy, Sukiyaki, Tomato, and Miso. Combo sets are available, including options such as the Meat-Lover, Vegetarian, and Seafood selections, as well as premium options featuring A5 Wagyu and Kurobuta pork. The restaurant also features a sauce bar, allowing customers to create custom dipping sauces.

The first Mumu Hot Pot opened in Pleasanton, California, in 2018. The company has since expanded to include locations in Sunnyvale, Foster City, Emeryville, and San Francisco. Each site operates on a non-all-you-can-eat model with à la carte and combo pricing. Mumu Hot Pot remains independently operated, focusing on individual dining and modern service.

This will be an excellent location for a new Mumu Hot Pot, as Del Amo Fashion Center attracts high foot traffic and serves a diverse range of shoppers and diners. The center has over 250 stores, a movie theater, and a large food court, creating steady demand for dining options. It already hosts several well-known restaurants, indicating a strong interest in diverse food choices. The mall offers ample parking and is conveniently located near major roads, making it accessible to both residents and visitors.
