An entrepreneurial DFW family is setting out to bring Forney diners their next big snack obsession. Husband and wife duo Ricardo and Sofia Jimenez are working alongside their two sons to open Frutilicious, a shop fashioned after Mexican fruterias, in the  Fountain Shopping Center later this summer, reports Culture Map Dallas.

The Jimenez family initially launched the concept as a pop-up and are enthusiastic about setting up their first brick and mortar at 16401 FM 548. There is not yet a precise date available for when Dallas residents can savor refreshing fruit-centered treats, however Frutilicious will be opening at some point in August.

Ricardo Jimenez, who has an impressive marketing background, is confident that Frutilicious will find its audience swiftly. He states: “There’s a lot of Mexican fruterias in Dallas, but not in Forney. My family would get a craving and we’d end up going through two hours of Dallas traffic. We knew there had to be a demand.”

Frutilicious will serve a wide range of snacks, certain to please every taste. Guests will be able to choose from an array of fruit, freshly made smoothies, and juices. Elotes and churros are also on the menu, alongside Takis and crepes.
