Chef Jack Bai, known for his local concept Gekko Kitchen, is bringing a new concept called Ninja Way Express to forthcoming food collective The Peacherie, which will open at 1375 Peachtree Street NE later this summer, according to a spokesperson for The Peacherie.
Ninja Way Express will be a sushi and hibachi concept and will be one of three chef-driven stalls inside The Peacherie.
Bai opened Gekko Kitchen as a food truck in 2015. Since then, he and his team have been serving the Atlanta Metro area, offering sushi and hibachi menu items. Offerings include the hibachi chicken bowl, the shrimp bowl and poke.
“At Gekko Kitchen, we believe that food should be more than just satisfying hunger — it should be an experience,” the Gekko Kitchen website states. “Our fresh tuna and salmon poke bowls are the perfect blend of nutrition and flavor, elevated by our use of crisp lettuce and tangy seaweed salad. With good-sized portions tailored to fit your appetite, every bite is a journey to paradise.”
What Now Atlanta got in touch with Bai, who was not immediately available to provide further information on the Ninja Way Express concept. As of now, details about the menu for the new concept remain largely unknown, and an exact opening timeline for Bai’s concept at The Peacherie remains unclear.
The Peacherie, part of Brooklyn-based culinary consulting group Hospitality HQ’s portfolio, will bring a mixture of concepts to 1375 Peachtree. Experienced restaurateur and chef Akhtar Nawab will serve as the lead culinary partner for the food collective heading to Midtown.
“This magnificent and modern re-design of a classic space brings edible opportunity to breakfast goers, a bustling lunch crowd from several surrounding offices, as well as afternoon and evening leisure seekers,” The Peacherie website states. “We seek partners with extraordinary taste to join us in this delicious delight in dining.”
