A new mobile bar trailer with the name Rain & Rye may be coming soon.

The applicant Kevin Candelaria recently applied for a liquor license to approve his mobile bar cart. This will not have a permentant address. In the application it says “hours depend.” There will also be outdoor dining, with both food and alcohol service.

The days of the week the business will be open is yet to be determined. There will be seasonal variation as this is a mobile trailer. In the application, this is listed as a “full on-premises license.”

It is not confirmed where the trailer will go in the city, but as it is a mobile cart it will be going to various locations in the area. Candelaria told What Now Portland the location is “ever-changing based on events.”

Mobile bar trucks are not uncommon in the Portland area. These types of business are already established around the city including Sip Society Mobile Bar, Booze Trucks and Tiddly Trailer Bar Company.

Candelaria was once an event coordinator for 10 Barrel Brewing at 1411 NW Flanders Street, but is no longer affiliated with the compnay. The timeline of opening is not known, and when contacted, Candelaria was not available for comment.
