Pizza Thief may be cooking up another restaurant to serve slices.
Representatives for the pizza restaurant recently applied for new space in Portland. This would be their third location in the city. The owners are hoping to open the space by the end of the year.
The New York-style pizza spot was started by Darby Aldaco and Tony Pasquale who have been passionate about pizza from a young age. Aldaco left Los Angeles for Portland to meet up with his friend Pasquale to open their first location at 2610 NW Vaughn Street in 2021. The company is known for their 18-inch pizzas and large slices.
At this time, the owners are not wanting to disclose the location of the new restaurant. When speaking with Pasquale on the phone, he told What Now Portland the new spot will have the same menu as the other pizzerias.
Pizza Thief has another location at 2444 NW 28th Avenue inside Great Notion Brewing, which What Now Portland reported on in April 2024. Next to their NW Vaughn Street location is Bandit Bar, a spot for cocktails and draft beer that they manage.
The restaurant has received praise in recently, with making Eater Portland’s list of Best Pizzas in Portland and Beyond for February of this year. The pizza is noted as standing out for its “unfussy joy of a pepperoni slice with a totable tang of a sourdough pie.”
