Next month, a new restaurant will be bringing a whole new way to do smoked chicken and ribs to Fort Lauderdale. Called Wild Rooster, it’s opening at 35 N Federal Highway, where it will showcase cutting technology designed for high quality and consistency.
“We’re a roasted smoked chicken and ribs place,” David, who owns Wild Rooster, told What Now on Friday. “We’ll also have things like pork sandwiches, fried island rice with ham and pineapple, and roasted potatoes.”
The biggest component, David says, is the roasted chicken (sold whole or by the quarter or half), which is cooked in a Unox Combi Oven, which, together with several other state-of-the-art technologies, will get you the perfect chicken or ribs every time.
“We’ve been working on the concept for about two years,” David said. “I’ve been in the restaurant business for a long time. I was the original Papa John’s franchisee for the area 1990, and I’ve seen a lot of things come and go. What I’ve learned is that, especially with labor costs being what they are now, you have to be creative with tech. This way, you have it set up for consistency: you put it in the oven and press a button. You can’t mess it up.”
It’s the little things that make that difference. And Wild Rooster is out prove it, opening before the summer is out.
