Sometimes a meal is just a meal and sometimes a meal is an event, full of excitement and audience participation. A growing teppanyaki chain is preparing to infuse the DFW dining scene with an element of theater and thrill; Pepper Lunch, which invites guests to prepare their own dishes, is opening a new location in Frisco, reports Community Impact.
According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the distinctive restaurant will be opening at 9180 Warren Parkway, Suite 150. Pepper Lunch will be occupying a 2,000 square foot space.
Frisco locals will be able to track the project’s progress this summer; paperwork states that construction is set to begin on the necessary renovations on August 15. Work is slated to wrap by November 1, suggesting that local foodies may be able to enjoy the chain’s fare before the end of 2025.
Pepper Lunch’s Frisco location will be helmed by franchisee PhilX Hospitality. Managing partner Phil Guo knows his way around running a successful restaurant; he owns three Jinya Ramen storefronts.
A press release regarding the restaurant provides a sneak peak to DFW diners of what’s in store. It states: “Pepper Lunch’s expansion into Dallas brings a distinctive dining experience that differentiates it from traditional fast-casual competitors. Our restaurant’s signature DIY teppanyaki concept features meals served on 500°F sizzling hot plates, allowing customers to cook their food to their preference at their table. This interactive dining model, combined with our brand’s commitment to serving premium meals for under $20 in less than 20 minutes, positions us uniquely in the competitive Dallas dining market.”
