A fresh wave of craft cocktails is making its way to Houston’s White Oak corridor, this time led by a pair of well-known names in the city’s food and beverage world. Jacki Schromm, co-owner of the upcoming project, confirmed that the yet-to-be-named cocktail bar will land at 2626 White Oak Dr., joining a growing stretch of popular neighborhood hangouts.
Schromm is collaborating with Bobby Heugel, a key figure in Houston’s bar scene and co-founder of Thorough Fare, the hospitality group behind staples like Anvil Bar & Refuge, Better Luck Tomorrow, and Refuge. This new venture marks another addition to the group’s growing influence across the city, and early signs point to something with a thoughtful, intentional identity.
“We are in the design and concept era of the process,” Schromm shared, signaling that while a name and final vision are still in development, groundwork is well underway. With Heugel’s reputation for innovation and Schromm’s creative direction, expectations are already bubbling up about what this new space will offer once complete.
While details remain limited for now, the team’s involvement alone is enough to keep this one on the radar for cocktail fans and industry watchers alike. The bar is slated to open in Fall 2025.
