A new coffee shop called Coffein is setting up to open at 1840 Westheimer Rd, and it’s got more going on than just caffeine. The upcoming concept is led by Co-owner Burak Altintas, who is teaming up with Moda to bring a blend of Turkish and American flavors to the Montrose area, along with a few surprises he’s keeping close to the chest.
“This was actually a really big dream of mine to have my own coffee shop,” Altintas shared. While he also works in construction, all his energy right now is going into bringing Coffein to life. The space will reflect that effort too. Think raw concrete walls, a warehouse-style roof, and a warm, relaxed setup of tables, chairs, and couches by the windows. There will be a bar near the food area, and outside, the alley will be transformed with hanging umbrellas for a bit of color and charm. Even the vestibule is getting attention, designed to be an elegant, social media-worthy moment.
On the menu, guests can expect a full traditional coffee lineup, plus something a little more unique. Altintas is working on a house-made Belgium Hot Chocolate and plans to offer Turkish drinks and food items as well. Partnering with Moda, Coffein will serve Moda products and a bakery menu that includes waffles, crepes, croissants, and more. All food offerings will be halal.
If everything goes to plan, Coffein is aiming to officially open its doors in mid-September 2025.
