The drive-thru only coffee shop 7 Brew Coffee is making plans to open another location in Columbus, at 8380 N High St, according to a recent permit filing. According to the permit filing, the total projected cost of the construction is $750,000. Last fall the coffee chain opened its first Columbus area location in Lancaster, at 1637 N Memorial Drive. When the North High Street location opens, it will mark the first store located within Columbus city limits.

The coffee company is based in Arkansas and besides being a drive-thru only business, another thing that sets the company apart is the way each drive-thru is constructed. The locations are put together from prefabricated pieces that are then assembled onsite at each coffee drive-thru, which means once the permits are in hand, the construction process moves quickly.

The forthcoming North High Street location and Lancaster 7 Brew Coffee coffee shops are operated by a franchise group that operates the coffee shops and is known as Motley 7 Brew, as well as Pacific Bells, which operates Taco Bell locations throughout several states.

What Now Columbus reached out to the senior construction project manager with the franchise group who shared that provided the permitting process goes smoothly, the company is hoping to begin construction in early April, with the goal of opening the shop by the end of May or beginning of June.

Although no specific locations or dates were given, the representative with Motley 7 Brew said the franchise group is eyeing additional locations for future 7 Brew Coffee drive-thrus with the goal of opening them later this year and into 2025.

Menu options range from coffee served hot or iced, and features original drinks like the German Chocolate, a coffee beverage flavored with coconut and chocolate and the Smooth 7, an Irish cream and white chocolate breve, among others. Additional drinks include shakes, fruit smoothies, teas and lemonades.
