It’s already more than two years since What Now reported that Point Chaud Coffee & Crepes, a crepe and cafe concept with locations in Maryland and Washington, D.C., had plans to open in St. Petersburg, at the ARK Innovation Center. After some delays, that location is finally working towards in opening.
“We are in the last stretch, hopefully,” co-owner Mourad Kacimi told What Now on Friday. “We’ve had some delays. The hurricanes definitely set us back.”
But that long-awaited St. Pete opening is not the only news the brand has to share at the moment. Another location is also in the works, this one at 6805 Gulf Blvd in St. Pete Beach. Both locations are expected to open just in time for fall.
There, you’ll be able to check out the brand’s specialty crepes, both sweet and savory—of which there are more than 50 different varieties. It has also been debuting new specialty drinks featuring Nutella, like hot chocolate with Nutella and the Mochatella.
“With more than 60 menu selections – including amazing choices like the savory eggplant and roasted pepper crepe, the delectably sweet Nutella and fresh raspberry crepe, a wide selection of coffees and teas, and gourmet gelato (Italian ice cream) – we have something for everyone,” says the Point Chaud website. “You can even mix and match ingredients to create your own special crepe. Point Chaud is the perfect stop for any meal of the day – breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a late-night snack. We look forward to serving you soon.”
