Justin Basil, the founder of Soho Juice, is preparing to launch a brand-new vegan and gluten-free cafe in Tampa. Called Urban Jungalow, it’s opening at 1910 West Cass Street.

“A vegan and gluten-free cafe that blends quality and convenience with a warm, nostalgic hospitality experience!” reads a description on the brand’s Instagram page.

As of early June, when That’s So Tampa published coverage about Urban Jungle, it was the concept was expected to open before the end of the summer.

“We want to make vegan and gluten-free approachable,” Basil told That’s So Tampa, saying the idea is for even non-vegan or -gluten-free diners to be able to come and enjoy delicious food. Urban Jungalow also posted only a few days ago that it’s currently taste-testing future Urban Jungalow menu items at sister restaurants Plant Life & Soho Juice.

What Now reached out to Basil on Thursday to ask for an update on Urban Jungalow’s opening timeline. Basil was not immediately available for comment.
