I recently traveled to Nashville, TN to host a networking event that brought together a dynamic mix of local restaurateurs and industry professionals at Common Ground – Sylvan Park. The event offered an invaluable platform for Nashville’s vibrant restaurant community to connect, exchange ideas, and explore strategies for thriving in a highly competitive, tourism-driven market. The gathering was part of What Now Media Group’s broader mission to foster community and support growth among food and beverage operators.
What Now Media Group shares restaurant opening news across 33 cities in North America, breaking stories and providing timely insights into yet-to-open brick-and-mortar businesses. The platform covers thousands of new openings annually across all its markets. Stay tuned for future Accelerate events from What Now Media Group in 2025. Tucked just off Broadway and adjacent to the lively Nashville Yards, Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown hits all the right notes for travelers who want more than just a place to sleep. This isn’t your typical hotel—it’s designed for people who want to keep up with their wellness routines, stay productive, and still soak up the energy of a new city.
From the moment I walked through the front doors, I felt like Tempo had been built with guests like me in mind—goal-oriented, health-conscious, and always balancing work with exploration. The space has a fresh, modern design that feels both energizing and relaxed, with warm tones, sleek details, and flexible common areas that invite you to sit down with a laptop or just take a moment to breathe.
A Room That Works As Hard As You Do
My room was a perfect reflection of the brand’s lifestyle-driven mission. The layout was thoughtfully zoned into separate areas for sleeping, working, and getting ready. There was a Get Ready Zone with dedicated space for organizing my day, a crisp desk setup for emails and meetings, and a super comfortable bed featuring the brand’s exclusive Sealy Accelerate mattress—easily one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in.
Tempo’s signature Power Up and Power Down rituals were a standout—small moments designed to help you start and end your day intentionally, whether through curated music, stretches, or lighting presets. It’s those kinds of touches that made the space feel more like a lifestyle experience than just a hotel room.
Thoughtful Details That Go a Long Way
Other in-room features included a 65-inch TV, a mini fridge with a built-in coffee bar, Apotheke bath products, and a full-sized salon hair dryer. But what really stood out were the small, thoughtful details. When I arrived, a Tempo-branded water bottle and a complimentary box of signature chocolates were waiting for me—simple, personal touches that instantly made me feel welcome. Even better, the hotel has refillable water stations on-site, so I could top off my bottle throughout the day without waste. It’s a great example of how Tempo integrates sustainability into the guest experience without overthinking it.
Another favorite feature? The oversized bathroom with Bluetooth speakers built right into the mirror. Being able to stream my morning playlist while getting ready was the kind of luxury I didn’t know I needed until I had it.
Location That Can’t Be Beat
Tempo’s location is nothing short of ideal. You’re less than a half-block from the buzz of Broadway and a short walk to Nashville’s top attractions—Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and more. I didn’t need a car once I arrived—everything I wanted to explore was just steps away.
Even the view from my room was incredible. Nashville’s skyline, complete with the iconic “Batman Building,” felt like a postcard outside my window. Whether I was getting ready in the morning or winding down at night, I loved having that backdrop.
Wellness, Built In
As someone who tries to keep up with fitness while traveling, I really appreciated Tempo’s wellness-forward approach. The 24/7 fitness center is legit—with modern equipment and even Peloton™ bikes in select rooms. For meals, the on-site Bluestone Lane Café serves up clean, healthy breakfast options and great coffee, while Lovelorn Lounge & Pool Bar offers a laid-back vibe and Mediterranean-inspired dishes that don’t leave you feeling heavy.
It’s easy to keep a routine here without having to try too hard—Tempo gives you the tools to do what you need to do, whether that’s a workout, a smoothie, or just a quiet place to regroup.
More Than Just a Hotel
Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown is built for travelers who don’t want to compromise. Whether you’re in town for meetings, a quick getaway, or a full-blown music-fueled adventure, the hotel’s 306 guest rooms, over 9,500 square feet of event space, and tech-forward amenities offer everything you need to keep your rhythm going.
There’s a pulse to this place. It’s stylish without being stuffy, wellness-minded without being preachy, and perfectly positioned for whatever kind of Nashville experience you’re after.
By the time I checked out, I felt more energized than when I checked in. And really, isn’t that the goal of travel? Tempo by Hilton doesn’t just give you a place to sleep—it gives you the space to recharge, reset, and keep moving forward.
