According to a recently submitted permit application, the South Texas-based seafood and Mexican cuisine chain Muelle 37 is gearing up to debut a new outpost in San Antonio early next year.
Coming to 4729 W Commerce Street, the eatery will soon be neighbored by establishments such as KFC, Taco Cabana, and the shoe store WSS.
What Now San Antonio spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Juan Garza; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing states that the finish-out of the existing 5,862-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on September 30 and should be completed by the end of January 2026. The McAllen-based firm NOMA Design Studio has been tasked with carrying out the project for an estimated $440,000.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the dining concept, Muelle 37 was founded in 2014 in the Rio Grande Valley by Garza. Having experienced success in the South Texas region, the business has expanded to a total of 12 outposts that span across Alamo, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Donna, Edinburg, Harlingen, McAllen, Mission, Pharr, and Weslaco. The upcoming spot on W Commerce Street will mark its first location in San Antonio.
While the menu for the San Antonio location has not been announced yet, the concept’s current offerings include starters such as ceviche tostadas, raw oysters, and shrimp salad; as well as mains including fried and baked fish plates, seafood stews, and fajitas. On the bar menu, locals can expect to find beverages such as beer, spiked teas and lemonades, classic and signature cocktails, and shots.
