Crumbl Cookies, a Utah-based bakery chain known for its award-winning milk chocolate chip cookie, is updating its presence in San Antonio. Per a recently submitted permit application, the concept is gearing up to renovate its outpost at the Bandera Pointe strip mall at 11619 Bandera Road.
Located at Suite 103, the outpost is neighbored by establishments such as IHOP, Panda Express, and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the outpost’s franchisee, Michelle Horne-Russel, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the permit application provides further insight, disclosing that the “minor interior remodel of interior,” which includes adding “partition walls, transaction counters, [and] new finishes” to the 1,481-square-foot location, will begin later this month and should be completed in September. For an estimated $75,000, the project will be executed by the Utah-based firm JZW Architects.
Fans and newcomers alike will indubitably be wowed by the chain’s award-winning cookie options — including permanent flavors such as chocolate chip, the semipermanent chilled pink sugar cookie, and rotating flavors, which, at the moment, include lemon cupcake, strawberry ice cream bar, and peanut butter cookies and cream.
Since it was founded in 2017 in Logan, Utah, Crumbl has expanded to “over 800+ bakeries in 49 states, making it the fastest-growing cookie company in the U.S.,” according to the chain’s website. Further cementing Crumbl’s status in the cookie-baking industry, in 2023, the chain went international, opening two stores in Canada.
A reopening date has not been announced yet. Follow What Now San Antonio on Facebook for updates.
