According to a recently publicized press release, Slice House — “the highly successful crafted fast-casual pizza franchise by world-renowned pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani” — is expanding its Bay Area footprint, preparing to debut a new outpost in Milpitas.
Coming to 1286 Great Mall Parkway, situated within The Fields mixed-use complex, the eatery will land just across the street from the Great Mall, near existing establishments such as Poke Xpress, the South Indian cuisine restaurant Tirupathi Bhimas, and Trader Joe’s.
“As we continue to expand Slice House’s footprint across the country, it’s especially exciting for me to open doors throughout the Bay Area where I grew up and launched my pizza career – and this is true for Milpitas,” Gemignani shares.
He adds, “We are so appreciative of the leadership and dedication of our experienced brand partners to bring this location to life and look forward to sharing our artisan pizzas with this dynamic community come the fall.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with Slice House, the concept was founded by Gemignani in San Francisco’s North Beach district in 2010. Headquartered in San Francisco, the business currently boasts more than 135 units either open or in development and has become known for offering four styles of pizza — including “traditional New York, homestyle Grandma, rustic Sicilian, and robust Detroit-style” — available by the slice or the whole pie. The complete menu includes salads, fresh pastas — think Gemelli with vodka cream and bucatini with meat sauce — wings, and dessert options such as cannolis, rainbow cake, and chocolate chip cookies.
“It’s been a pleasure working with and representing pizza icon Tony Gemignani through our other Slice House locations, and we are looking forward to sharing that same dedication to his craft here in Milpitas,” says the franchisee.
“We have seen such a positive response to Tony’s artisan pizzas and spirited approach, so [we] are confident the same will be true here and look forward to sharing that with the greater Milpitas community later this year,” she continues.
Slice House on Great Mall Parkway is slated to open in October 2025. Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook for updates.
