A favorite in the Miami area since 1972, Vicky Bakery serves up Cuban pastries, coffee, desserts, and more at—hang on, we have to check, because the number is always bigger than the last time we looked—29 locations! 29, plus an additional six that the Vicky Bakery website shows as “Baking Soon!”

One of these is getting ready to open next month in Sunrise, at 15936 W State Road 84 (Google Maps places the address in Davie). What Now confirmed the news of the opening with franchisee Armando Palma on Tuesday. Palma says there’s no set opening date just yet.

“We are not one hundred percent sure on the date yet,” Palma said. “But we know it will be September.”

Menus at the chain’s other locations have featured popular sandwiches like the Pan Con Tortilla (Cuban sandwich with scrambled eggs, ham and cheese) and the Sandwich Croqueta Preparada (Croqueta sandwich on Cuban bread with ham, pork, and Swiss cheese). There are pastries both savory and sweet, including the Ham Croqueta, the Croissant Con Nutella, and the Guava and Cheese pastry.

“Vicky Bakery is a family-owned business serving up classic Cuban treats in Miami since 1972!” says the Vicky Bakery website. “Our specialty Cuban pastries are made with the same recipe passed down from abuelo to abuelito. From cafecito to delicious desserts to a quick lunch bite, we have everything to treat your tastebuds. Visit us at one of our locations across Florida and find out Que Sweet It Is!”
