Papa’s Pizza is headed to League City, confirmed by Galveston Restaurant Group President John Smecca. The new restaurant will be located at 248 S Egret Bay Blvd, placing the concept in a high-traffic corridor that continues to see growth in both dining and retail options.
According to city permit filings, the project will be a complete build-out of a 2,085-square-foot space. Plans include architectural updates, new furniture, fixtures, and equipment, as well as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work. The scope suggests a significant investment in transforming the site into a full-service restaurant that matches the group’s established standards.
Papa’s Pizza shines as a go‑to for the island’s best delivery, and has earned the title, “Galveston’s Best Delivery,” for several years running. What sets it apart is the effort behind every dish: gourmet pizza, pasta, wings, soups, sandwiches, and sides, all made “always fresh and always delicious.” Papa’s goes a step further with thoughtful touches like treats for pets and a real‑time order tracking app, serving proof that they’re not just about good food but smart service as well.
Construction is expected to begin in September 2025 with completion targeted for November 2025.
