The newest Van Leeuwen location will occupy 1316 Adams Street in the Neuhoff District. The Germantown outlet will celebrate the grand opening with $1 scoops in partnership with Tailor Nashville on August 28.

Originating in NYC, the brand is now marking its third Nashville opening after Edgehill and the Gulch. Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO, said, “The response in Nashville has been incredible since opening our first two scoop shops.”

Known for its dairy and vegan ice creams, the brand prides itself on using only high-quality ingredients.

Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO, also shared that the company is excited about continuing to grow in the city and joining the Germantown community. He noted the neighborhood’s vibrant food scene, expressing enthusiasm for collaborating with Chef Vivek Surti of Tailor to celebrate the launch.

Van Leeuwen started in 2008 as a yellow ice cream truck in New York City, founded by Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill, with a mission to make ice cream from quality ingredients.

Their French-style custard, which uses over twice the typical egg yolks, rapidly won a devoted fan base. With scoop shops around the country, Van Leeuwen also stocks grocery aisles and offers nationwide shipping through its online store.

Known for its creative flavor collaborations, Van Leeuwen partnered with local restaurant Tailor to offer a limited Sicilian Pistachio Ice Cream Sundae with Vivek Surti’s Nankhatai shortbread cookie at the Germantown grand opening (while supplies last).

On opening day, $1 scoops will be served from 11 AM to 1 PM, and the first 100 people in line will get free, limited-edition Van Leeuwen tote bags. Guests can choose from an extensive array of vegan favorites like Strawberry Shortcake and Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb.

Guests can expect over thirty signature flavors at the Germantown store, including Honeycomb, Earl Grey Tea, Black Cherry Chip, and Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie, alongside sundaes, handmade ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, shakes, and 14-ounce pints to-go.

Van Leeuwen Germantown will be open Sunday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
