Padeland, an indoor padel and pickleball club with on-site food and beverage offerings, is opening in downtown Chandler at 1 W Chandler Blvd.
The 35,000-square-foot facility will occupy the former Look Dine-In Cinemas building, located on the southwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, according to the company’s website. The space previously housed nine movie theaters, a restaurant, a bar, and a brewery before closing in February 2025. Padeland will feature four indoor padel courts and five indoor pickleball courts.
In addition to sports, the concept includes a full-scale brewery and taproom, a restaurant, a coffee bar, a coworking area, a pro shop, a wellness area, a strength training space, and an outdoor terrace. Co-founder Daniel Maldonado tells What Now Phoenix that Padeland is targeting a late November 2025 opening. The building is currently under renovation to support the new concept.
Food and beverage will be a central part of the experience. Plans call for a full-service restaurant and taproom connected to the on-site brewery, as well as a dedicated coffee bar. The company is marketing the venue as an all-day destination with space to eat, drink, work, and socialize alongside sports and wellness programming.
Padeland is positioned as Arizona’s first indoor venue to combine padel and pickleball courts with complete hospitality offerings, according to promotional materials. The concept is designed to support both casual visitors and members, with amenities intended to serve a wide range of guests.
This will be Padeland’s flagship location and first in the state. A public waitlist is now available for those interested in receiving early updates, attending launch events, and exploring membership opportunities. No additional locations have been announced.
