More brews on tap will soon be available in this town east of Portland

Kings & Daughters Brewery has been taking to social media to announce their new public house, The Walled Garden. The new pub will be in downtown Hood River at 416 Cascade Avenue. There is not an opening date yet, but construction is happening and the owners say the public house is coming “very soon.”

From updates on social media, construction is currently happening in the building. Inside, there will be tables and a back bar. There is also a large mural being painted on one side of the building.

“We’ll feature a thoughtfully crafted beverage menu, a food truck with French and European street-style fare, and a welcoming space to enjoy both indoors and out,” says the description on their website.

The owner of Kings & Daughters, Kyle Larsen, has been brewing for over 20 years. He has worked at other craft breweries over the years before deciding to embark on his own business venture. Since 2021, he has received praise for his beer, including their Queens & Sons IPA which won a bronze medal at the World Beer Cup in 2023.

Along with the beer, Kings & Daughters sells apparel, art and stickers, candles and soaps and other merchandise. All of their products are available on their website. Needless to say, this is more than just a brewing company.

As of now, the location is listed on Google. It will be at the corner of Cascade Avenue and 5th Street, close to other restaurants like The Sixth Street Bistro & Pub and Double Mountain Brewery.

What Now Portland has reached out to Larson, and this article may be updated. For more information on the project, visit their Instagram @thewalledgardenpub.
