Thai Beam Cuisine is a family-style Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. It underwent a health inspection where the inspectors noted risk factors. The staff at the outlet did not follow standardized thawing methods.

Rodent and insect activity was observed by the inspectors. The report indicated that utensils and equipment were not properly maintained. Tiles on floors and walls were also damaged in some places. The facility lacked adequate handwashing facilities, and hot water was unavailable at sinks.

Inspectors observed that the kitchen area was not properly ventilated and hold and cold food holding temperatures were not maintained. Accurate thermometers were not provided to the staff to keep a check on food temperatures. Nonfood contact surfaces were found unclean during the inspection. Inspectors instructed the staff to install proper backflow devices to fix plumbing issues.

The restaurant is currently closed due to imminent health hazards. A re-inspection will occur once all violations are corrected. Passing that will allow the restaurant to resume operations.
