The town will soon have a designated wine bar in the community.
Two Fish will be a wine bar opening next to Carson Art Garage at 952 Wind River Highway. Right now, construction is happening inside the space. Steve Kowats, who is a partner with the project, told What Now Portland the bar will be opening by Oct. 1
Kowats is also the owner of the Carson Art Garage Building. He and Two Fish owner Abigail Rice are currently designing the interior which right now has the bar set up as well as shelves for wine. According to a recent post from Kowats, there will be both foreign and domestic selections of wines.
Carson is about an hour east of Portland, and bars and restaurants near Two Fish are Bungalow Bar and Grill and Backwoods Brewing Company. This space and Carson Art Garage are at the corner of Wind River Highway and Hot Springs Avenue. This is the downtown area, surrounded by residential units.
According to Washington State Business records, the wine bar was registered on July 2. It is listed as having food and beverage services.
