According to the San Antonio Business Journal, Killer Burger — “the fast-growing better burger concept offering meticulously crafted, award-winning burgers” — is looking toward New Braunfels.
While an address has not been announced yet, the expansion follows the recent opening of a San Antonio outpost at 7511 S. New Braunfels Avenue, Suite 105, in the Brooks area — a unit operated by Founder & Franchisee TJ Southard.
“Our Potranco restaurant has done really well since we opened last year, which made us eager to expand in San Antonio with a second location in the bustling Brooks neighborhood that’s seeing a ton of development,” Southard tells the Journal.
CEO Adam Sanders adds that the chain has three more outposts in the works, including a location in Austin, one in Manor, and one in New Braunfels, all of which will be owned and operated by Southard and operated by Natasha Fogel.
“Such a big part of our brand is that we want to be part of the community and feel like a local place where you go in and get away from your day-to-day life,” Sanders shares.
For San Antonio-area locals who haven’t had a chance to visit a Killer Burger outpost yet, the fast-casual concept has recently become known for its peanut butter pickle bacon burger, which is exactly what it sounds like: a burger topped with bacon, peanut butter sauce, Killer Burger’s house sauce, mayo, grilled onions, and pickles. The restaurant also serves classic burgers, fried chicken burgers, and sides such as fried and onion rings.
The chain is headquartered in Oregon and currently operates 25 locations across Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
