Sandoitchi is preparing to take its biggest step yet, with a flagship restaurant set for 1603 N Durham Dr. in Houston. Co-Owner Keith Tran confirmed that the new location will be the brand’s most ambitious project to date.
Tran explained that while the Dallas location has been what he calls a “baby store” partnered with The Joule hotel, operating mainly at lunch, Houston will be the first full-out version of the concept. “This will be our flagship location,” Tran said, noting that it will be a standalone building with a patio and significant attention to both interior and exterior design.
The restaurant will feature an all-day menu that captures the full spirit of the brand. Mornings will highlight a new matcha and coffee program alongside Japanese-inspired breakfast items. The well-known lunch menu will continue, but dinner is where Sandoitchi plans to showcase its vision in full. Dinner is where they are setting up to really shine and represent what the brand is meant to be.
The aesthetic will lean minimal and modern Japanese, with each detail of the space thoroughly considered. Houston has already been Sandoitchi’s strongest market during pop-ups and food events, making it the ideal place for expansion. “We’re looking forward to being a part of this community,” Tran said.
Permit filings note that the project will include a remodel of approximately 1,200 square feet, with work beginning in October 2025. The restaurant is expected to open in December 2025.
