News broke yesterday, in Franchise Times, that Vietnamese fast-casual franchise Saigon Hustle has signed a considerable deal with multi-concept franchisee Virentes Hospitality. The deal represents both a 24-unit development deal with the franchisee and an investment in Saigon Hustle itself on Virentes’ part.

“It was important to us in this transaction—and I think it’s good in general—to align the franchisor’s interest and the franchisee’s interest by making a significant investment in the franchisor as a statement of our faith,” Virentes managing member Jim D’Aquila said.

Saigon Hustle’s menu features Vermicelli Noodle bowls and Rice Bowls served with proteins like Chargrilled BBQ Pork, Chargrilled BBQ Ribey, and Honey Soy BBQ Chicken. There’s also Banh Mi (also with choice of protein), salads, and sides like Crispy Rice Lemongrass Tofu.

The specific sites of the 24 locations have yet to be revealed: the deal includes Florida and Nashville. Earlier this week, however, D’Aquila told that “the Greater Tampa Bay Area is our number one focus for all three of our brands.”

So expect to be finding Saigon Hustle in the Tampa Bay area soon!
