A New York City-born bakery blending Italian tradition with Asian inspiration is making its way to Boston.

Angelina Bakery will open its first local shop at 133 Massachusetts Ave, inside a former Bank of America at the crossroads of Back Bay and the Fenway.

Founded in 2019 by baker Antonio “Tony” Park, Angelina’s has grown to nine locations across New York and New Jersey. The brand offers a variety of Italian-Asian fusion pastries, gelato, and other sweet treats, along with savory options such as focaccia and pizza.

A company representative told What Now Boston that while the menu is still being finalized, guests can look forward to Angelina’s signature favorites alongside a few “new and fresh surprises for Boston.”

Expect offerings like fresh gelato, micro croissants (crispy, bite-sized versions perfect for espresso or even served as cereal), and contemporary pizzas crafted with long-fermented, high-hydration dough. Light yet flavorful, the pies combine “gourmet, seasonal ingredients with chef-driven creativity” for a modern twist on Italy’s most iconic dish.

Drinks may include specials like the Valrhona Choco Strawberry Latte, Cherry Tomato Basil Sparkle Ade, and Iced Hibiscus Lime Tea, along with catering and custom cake services.

Local restaurateur Koushik “Babu” Koganti, who is behind a slew of local eateries including Madras Dosa Co., Bombay Baking Co., Kaapi & Co., and Don’t Tell Aunty, is the franchisee bringing the bakery to Boston.

Construction is currently underway, though an official opening date has not yet been set. For updates, follow the bakery on social media @angelinabakerynyc.
