With locations all over South Florida, Playa Bowls is one of the area’s favorite spots for acai bowls, smoothies, juice, and more. And as the brand continues to expand its footprint, submitted plan review documents indicate that one of its next stops will be in Doral.

The paperwork shows a new Playa Bowls opening at 10690 NW 19th St, in the retail center on the southeast corner of the Northwest 107th Avenue intersection.

“Playa Bowl is your slice of summer, anytime,” says the Playa Bowls website. “Using the freshest, highest quality ingredients, we serve healthy, delicious açaí, pitaya, coconut bowls and smoothies with sustainability and community in mind.”

Current Fall Specials on the Playa Bowls menu are variations on the theme of…peanut butter! They include the PB&Jammin’ Acai Bowl (Playa Acai base topped with blueberry flax granola, strawberry, banana, peanut butter protein crumble, peanut butter & strawberry puree drizzle), the PB&J Smoothie (Strawberry, banana, peanut butter protein crumble, peanut butter, coconut milk & strawberry puree drizzle), and Peanut Butter Protein Crumble (Organic Pea Protein, organic peanut butter, organic coconut nectar, organic cold pressed coconut oil, organic 70% dark chocolate, organic ground flaxseed, organic unsulphured blackstrap molasses & Himalayan pink sea salt).

What Now reached out Wednesday to franchisee Ricardo Arguello to ask about plans for a Doral opening. Arguello was not immediately available for comment.
