“Coming in Hot to Boynton Beach, FL,” announces the Instagram page of Antonacci Artisan Pizza Cafe, an upcoming, upscale new pizza concept promising “authentic regional wood fired pies of Italy.” It’s working to open in Boynton Lakes Plaza, at 4752 N Congress Ave.
“We’re going to be doing appetizers, salads, and paninis,” co-owner Pietro Antonacci told What Now on Wednesday. On the pizza side, the main event, flavors will be based on Italy’s 20 regions. “We’ll be doing 20 unique pies, one from each region. There will also be Italian beer and wine, and San Pellegrino products.”
The space, meanwhile, is another standout aspect of Antonacci Artisan Pizza Cafe, Antonacci says.
“The space is quite unique. People keep saying, Wow, this is a pizzeria? It’s a brand new spot, and it’s like an indoor garden, very warm and inviting.”
With Da Vinci-inspired art, live plants, overgrowing vines, and sourdough wood-fired pizza, Antonacci Pizza promises to be a new kind of pizza experience for Boynton Beach, with indoor seating for about 44 guests, plus another 12 seats outside.
“It’s kind of like fine-dining pizza,” Antonacci said. “Something a little upscale. Something different.”
