The building located at 15 W Broadway Street in Fort Meade has always been known for its distinct shape, with something like a parapet along the front of the roof. This design resulted in a nickname.

“In the early fifties, when that building was built, the neighbors used to call it The Castle,” Clive Hyatt told What Now on Thursday. Hyatt is the force behind the restaurant that will soon be opening in that space. Its name? Castle Lounge.

“We’re going to do Buffalo wings, with a lot of different flavors, Cuban Sandwiches, and ice cream made with our own recipe,” Hyatt said.

Added to this will be high-quality teas and a comfortable lounge setting with free wifi—great for catching up with friends, working, and relaxing.

“Welcome to Castle Lounge, where flavor meets community and every visit feels like home,” says the Castle Lounge website. “More than just a café, Castle Lounge is a warm and inviting space that brings people together in the heart of Ft. Meade. Whether you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, a cozy place to unwind, or a lively spot to connect with friends, this is the place to be.”

Castle Lounge is opening soon, so keep an eye out, Fort Meade!
