According to the San Francisco Business Times, the casual Indian restaurant Pippal plans to debut a new location in the Bay Area, this time in Dublin.
Coming to 4500 Tassajara Road, the eatery will soon be neighbored by establishments such as the Japanese fare restaurant Ari Sushi & Tendon, the Mediterranean cuisine concept Bodrum Mezze & Cocktails, and a Peet’s Coffee outpost.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Vikram Bhambri, to learn more about his plans for the upcoming restaurant; however, he was unable to provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the concept briefly introduces itself on its website: “Pippal is more than just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of India’s rich culinary history. Our menu highlights the regional diversity of Indian cuisine, offering dishes that showcase the incredible variety of spices, herbs, and flavors found throughout the country. From the bustling streets of Delhi to the coastal markets of Kerala, each bite takes you on a journey through India’s vibrant food culture.”
The concept currently has one outpost at 5614 Bay Street, Suite 235, in Emeryville — near establishments such as the ice cream shop Dippin’ Dots, the Mexican food eatery Flores, and the hamburger restaurant Shake Shack.
On the menu are appetizers such as the chicken kathi roll, pan-seared chicken momo, and Bihari lamb chops, and entrees include mango Alleppey fish and prawn curry and butter chicken.
Their PR agency tells What Now San Francisco that they will “open for reservations in early October.” Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook to stay up to date on the latest restaurant happenings in the Bay Area.
