Layne’s Chicken Fingers is set to open a new location in Missouri City at 5801 Hwy 6, as reported by Community Impact, taking over the closed Dairy Queen site. The restaurant, which launched in College Station in 1994, now operates more than 30 spots, including five elsewhere in the Houston area.

The menu will lean into what Layne’s is known for: chicken tenders, fries, Texas toast, and its signature Layne’s sauce. Guests will also find sandwich combos, family meals, and a variety of milkshakes, such as vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and Oreo.

Masroor Fatany, also owner of The Halal Guys, will be heading this charge. He was unavailable as of this publishing for further comment, but his past successes leave no doubts that this will be one more to add to his growing portfolio.

The Missouri City location is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.
