Prime Pizza, a local pizzeria specializing in New York-style pizza with both round and square pies, is preparing to expand to additional locations in Southern California.

What Now Los Angeles previously reported that the fast-growing pizzeria is working on sites in Torrance and Northridge. Now, it appears that Prime Pizza is expanding to new locations in Thousand Oaks, Valley Village, Rancho Cucamonga, and Riverside, according to the company’s website. The company expects to open all four of these locations sometime in 2026

Prime Pizza is also bringing its New York-style pizzas to Orange County for the first time this Fall. According to the pizzeria’s Instagram page, they plan to open their first location in Orange County in the Fall at 24420 Alicia Parkway in Mission Viejo, and a second location in Brea also in the fall.

Prime Pizza owner Zak Fishman confirmed with What Now Los Angeles that the OC location is set to open in about a month, with six or seven additional locations planned for next year.

“We’re really excited to go down to the OC and give that county our pizza,” Fishman said. “We think that we offer a very unique quality for New York pizzas, and that doesn’t exist in most neighborhoods.”

The independent restaurant chain recently opened in Woodland Hills. Prime Pizza now has eight locations operational. The pizza company was founded by Fishman in 2014 with the goal of bringing authentic New York-style pizza to Los Angeles.

“So if you like big slices, classic New York foldable pizza with bright acidic flavors and really good fresh ingredients, high-quality ingredients, that’s us,” Fishman said.

He’s kept the concept running throughout each location. The menu includes the classic round pizzas, square pizzas, gluten-free pies, vegan pies, subs, pasta, and a host of sides, sauces, and drinks.

Beyond its unique food offerings, the booming pizza business is also an integral part of the community.

“We’re a very neighborhood-focused pizzeria. So every neighborhood that we join, we try and contribute to as a positive, active member of that business community,” Fishman said.
Whether that’s donating to schools, fire houses, or hosting events, it’s more than about a good slice for Fishman and his crew.
“Being an actual member of the community and not just a place where people just get pizza,” Fishman said.
But a good slice certainly helps!
You can check out slices and more at its new OC location by the end of November. Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about the Brea location, which is set to open this fall, and the six others, which are scheduled to open throughout 2026.
