A York-based restaurant has announced its first expansion. Hoof & Barrel will open its second location in Tega Cay, according to a recent Instagram announcement.
The Charlotte Observer identified the new location as the former Famous Toastery space at 2429 Highway 160 in Tega Cay.
In their recent announcement, the Hoof & Barrel team shared that more details are on the way soon, though an exact opening timeline has yet to be identified. However, Hoof & Barrel did post that they are hiring for the new location right now.
Hoof & Barrel offers farm-to-table meals highlighting Southern flavors. South African natives Albertus and Nicollette Booysen opened the original location in York in 2019.
The menu features unique pasture-to-table burgers, with options like the Jalapeno Business burger (with pepperjack, jalapenos, banana peppers, lettuce and spicy ranch), the Makin’ Bacon burger (with pimento cheese, bacon jam, lettuce, pickle and Hoof & Barrel sauce) and the Screaming Goat burger (with goat cheese, caramelized onions, field greens and French onion-cran aioli).
They also offer “knot burgers” — a selection of non-burger offerings including all-beef hot dogs, BLTs, chicken fingers and BBQ sandwiches. Other offerings include a meat menu offering pork, chicken and steak cuts.
